DIY TRIPOD LAMP FROM THRIFT STORE FIND

You may have seen a very similar lamp in my own home office. It’s kismet that Sherry at Savvy Apron posted this tutorial because I’ve been aching to go back in time and re-do this project just to show you how. Now that Sherry found a nearly-identical tripod to the one I used to create my own lamp, I can put those time-traveling dreams to rest.

In case you don’t recall it, or haven’t seen it, here’s my very own tripod lamp that I DIYed six years ago! I’m proud to report that it’s survived multiple moves and is going strong!

FARMHOUSE DINING TABLE + BENCH

I’ve always considered building my own dining room furniture but have been a tad too intimidated to actually try it. Feeling the same way? Well, my friends, Carmen at Living Letter Home has just proven to us all that it’s far easier than it seems! Her tutorial is so incredibly helpful that I actually think beginner woodworkers could flawlessly pull this off.

RETRO-INSPIRED PLAY KITCHEN

Young kids love to pretend they’re adults. The best way to let them? Give them a tiny version of a house and use it as an opportunity to teach them chores! They’ll have fun while they learn. Win-win.

That’s why I’m so into this project from Stephanie at Abbotts At Home. She managed to get the look of those gorgeous vintage-styled Pottery Barn play kitchens for a fraction of the cost.

COASTAL FARMHOUSE HALL TREE

My dreams include owning a lake house and a beach house. I even have two Pinterest boards stocked with ideas for when I inevitably purchase both.

So of course I’m obsessed with this hall tree that Christina from The Frugal Homemaker completed. It would work so well by the pool at my beach house but I’d also add it to my mudroom at my lake house.

MODERN GARDEN TRELLIS

I can’t wait until we close on our new house because I am so ready to start gardening again! It’s been nearly a decade since I lived in a home for long enough to really commit to a landscape and garden plan.

That’s why I’m super excited to see this modern take on a climbing flower and veggie trellis from Brittany from By Brittany Goldwyn. I want to juxtapose the modern lines with the organic nature of climbing plants just like she did!
